Organ xenotransplantation in children: dream or reality?

The aim of this webinar is to analyze the state of the art of xenotransplantation in terms of technology, protocols, and preliminary clinical results, with a particular focus on the potential applicability of this therapy in the pediatric population and its current ethical barriers.

Learning outcomes: After attending the webinar participants will be able to understand the difference between allotransplantation and xenotransplantation, evaluate the ethical problems with xenotransplantation, understand pig bioengineering and preliminary clinical results. Participants will gain specific knowledge in xenotransplantation science (from pre-clinical to clinical application).
