This workshop centers on improving the quality, longevity, and outcomes of grafts in pediatric transplantation, spanning hematopoietic stem cell transplants (HSCT), solid organ transplants (kidney, liver, heart, intestine), and addressing both biological and psychosocial dimensions. By bringing together cutting-edge clinical insights, ongoing research, and prospective innovations, the event aims to foster a holistic approach to graft optimization across the transplant continuum — from pre-transplant preparation to long-term follow-up and re-transplantation.

TARGET AUDIENCE

Healthcare professionals and members of multidisciplinary teams integrated into the network (at all levels of care and geographic areas) providing health and social services, as well as potential partners and affiliated members of the network.

Anyone who is interested in continuing their formation regarding transplantation, whether they are healthcare professionals or collaborators of a patients’ association (patients, families, social workers, psychologists,…).

The workshop is open to all health professionals and members of patients’ associations, whether they belong to ERN TransplantChild or not.

EXPECTED EDUCATIONAL OUTCOMES

After attending the event, participants will be able to use new methods of immunosuppression in solid organ transplantation. They will be able to understand the reasons for retransplantation in children and recognize problems after retransplantation. Participants should be able to identify methods for prevention and monitoring of late graft injury. They will also have the opportunity to share their experiences with late graft injury following pediatric transplantation.
