Hematopoietic stem cell transplantation from alternative donors in paediatrics

This webinar will be on November 11, 2025 (16:00 CET)

This webinar will focus on the current use of haploidentical stem cell transplantation (Haplo-HSCT) and cord blood transplantation in pediatric patients. It will highlight the advantages, limitations, and recent advances in both approaches, with a focus on donor selection, graft manipulation strategies, and clinical outcomes in children without matched donors.

Speaker: Dr. Francesco Saglio, Attending Physician, Chief of the Bone Marrow Transplantation and Cellular Therapy Unit at SCDU Oncoematologia Pediatrica, Ospedale Infantile Regina Margherita, AOU Città della Salute e della Scienza di Torino (Italy).

Learning outcomes:

After attending the webinar participants will be informed about the opportunities available for pediatric patients in need of an alloHSCT but lacking both a related and unrelated donor.

They will be able to understand different pros and cons of the different approaches and to establish how to set better the therapy for their patients.

This webinar will enhance participants’ knowledge of diagnosis, and management of late vascular complications, as well as their ability to implement minimally invasive techniques effectively and safely in clinical practice.
