Late vascular complications after liver transplantation

This webinar will be on October 14, 2025 (16:00 CET)

This webinar will focus on the diagnosis and minimally invasive treatment of late vascular complications following pediatric liver transplantation. Through selected clinical cases, it will highlight the role of interventional radiology in managing hepatic vein, IVC, portal vein, and hepatic artery stenoses. The session will emphasize early detection, image-guided therapies, and the importance of multidisciplinary collaboration to preserve graft function and improve outcomes.

Speakers:

-Dr. Marek Stefanowicz, paediatric surgeon. The Children’s Memorial Health Institute.
-Dr. Adam Koleśnik, paediatric surgeon. The Children’s Memorial Health Institute.

Learning outcomes:

  • Interpret and evaluate diagnostic imaging findings, particularly Doppler ultrasound and CT angiography, for the detection and monitoring of late vascular complications.
  • Analyse clinical presentations of late vascular complications.
  • Compare treatment options and assess risks and benefits of interventional radiology.
  • Apply evidence-based principles to optimize postoperative monitoring protocols and anticoagulation strategies to prevent and manage late vascular complications.

This webinar will enhance participants’ knowledge of diagnosis, and management of late vascular complications, as well as their ability to implement minimally invasive techniques effectively and safely in clinical practice.
